"Every 500th Visitor Contest" Original Mail containing
Rules & Regulations

Sub: Visit My Site! Win Prizes!

Dear Visitor,

My Site encountered its 100th Visitor on 22nd August 2001. Thank you for your kind patronage!

I have decided to honour every 500th visitor with a prize to take part in my pride and joy. Also every 1000th visitor will be honoured with a bumper prize. THIS IS NOT A STUNT TO PROMOTE MY SITE. The Visitor will definitely be honoured if found eligible.

The following are the guidelines to follow such that not to let the prize slip off your hands.

1) You CANNOT claim the prize by merely saying "I am the 500th (or 1000th or so, whatever the case may be) visitor." You must submit the proof.

2) The only proof that will be accepted is the INDEX page (the opening page that appears after you type http://jose007.8m.net/ in the address bar of your browser when you are connected to the internet). The format of the page should be .MHT. Other formats (.HTM,.HTML,.TXT ETC.) WILL NOT BE accepted. The page can be saved in .MHT format under Internet Explorer as follows:

File Menu-->Save As-->Web Archive, single file (*.mht)
(This facility is not available in older versions of Internet Explorer).

You can find the Hit Counter below the picture of Rose on the INDEX page.

3) The .MHT file should be compressed as .ZIP format and its primary name should be your Visitor No. (for eg. 500th visitor should send the file as 500.zip). Self extracting archives (.EXE) WILL NOT BE accepted.

4) The .ZIP file should be sent as an attachment with an E-mail. Its subject line should be like this: 500th Visitor!

(Note: Replace 500 with your Visitor No. in the above example.)

The E-mail must contain your FULL POSTAL ADDRESS and a brief description about the pros and cons in my Web Site. Also mention what more do you expect in my Site.

5) If anybody tries to send an invalid entry (i.e. not a 500th page or not complying with above rules), the participant will become permanently ineligible to receive a prize from me.

6) In case of dispute, the Site Administrator's decision will be final and binding.

7) This is the original version of the mail. The Administrator will not be responsible for any modifications in the above rules in the mail you had received, other than this 7th Rule.

Thank you!

Regards,

D. Jose Jebaraj B.Sc.,
